Madoka Magica intentionally looks like the typical Mahou Shoujo anime, with cute girls and a bright and colorful art style.

That's why I was dumbfounded when I found an R18 doujinshi of Madoka and Homura, which I thought had been made by the offical group, the staff of which had been finally “aware” the relationship P. Because of it, the doujinshi which mimic the painting style well look really like a offical set. Its painting style is quite specil, just like color-pencil painting works, particularly of the shadows of pupils. The same thing also happened when the ep3 was released. And Kaname Madoka won the first prise of Saimoe Tōnamento this year, probably because of this new movie (Tomoe Mami has also won the same prise in 2011, by then Madoka was the third).Īctually I think this anime is kinda gloomy and dissapointing in contrast to the title and the painting style which have made an impression of a “fairy tale” and simply caused a phenomenon that most parents who had thought it as a movie for children and taken their children to watched the first two movies left after Tomoe Mami's death or other gloomy moments. This movie was sent to pacitipate the championship of Oscar Animated Feature Film. Since Blue Ray players are not popular in my contry, and they are really expensive, I give up buying it. Why the fuck does Sayaka remember everything that happened? Although that conversation between her and Sayaka at the end confused me a little. It does appear to hurt Homura, but she did it out of love to save Madoka, like she said.
It sounds more like she did a good thing rather than a bad thing. Everyone is living happily, Madoka isn't being “trapped” as in it does appear that she has a mind of her own with just Homura repressing her powers and altering her memories. If you think about it, Homura's world isn't even that bad. And of course, Homura went batshit insane when she realised that, and after everyone saved her, I think she captured Madoka in order to protect her from Kyuubey.
Also I agree with the comments above (below? whatever…) and I would like to add something to it: Kyuubey said (or rather, Homura realised) that the Incubators were planning on capturing and controlling Madoka because Homura had described the witch method and they believed that it must've been a much quicker way to gain entropy. I think that the ending actually made a lot more sense if you watch the movie more than once.
